the new champion for Syria for the season 2006
yesterday in
the final game to clarify who is the champion of the syria for the year 2006,
after a long time since the champion was from damascus. Now back to aleppo
ittihad is the champion after winning Jalaa also from Aleppo, which would make
them the syrian champions and Jalaa came in second place for the theird
consecutive year. Congratulations for Ittihad and Hard luck for Jalaa, May

In
the playoffs to the 47th season in the Syrian Basketball League, Al
Jeish (Army) team has kept its title after a key win against Syrian
leaders Al Ittihad Aleppo and Al Jeish is champion for a second time
in a row. The winner was 73-65 (half-time 44-36) against Al Ittihad.
Al Jalaa' had no difficulty in beating Tishreen 104-73 and equalized
with Al Jeish in points, but Al Jeish finished ahead because of the
games between the two when taken into consideration.
