The teams traded baskets throughout the third term. Philippines maintained a 19-point lead and just consolidated it in the final quarter. Bobby Parks (193-G-92) had 15 points, while Ryan Garcia (178-F-90) contributed 12 points for the winning side. Chaiwat Kaedum (195-C-83) responded with 17 points for Thailand. Sangthong Supachai and Attaporn Lertmalaiporn notched 11 points each in the loss.
3-4 place Indonesia - Malaysia 78:54 Indonesia stepped on the pedestal at 2011 SEA Games. The hosts overcame Malaysia in the consolation final tonight. 5-6 place Singapore - Vietnam 91:48 Singapore wrapped up their SEA Games 2011 campaign in style. They drubbed Vietnam to clinch the fifth position at the tournament. Desmond Wei Jie Oh (176-F-86) stepped up with 15 points to pace the winners. Singapore grabbed the initiative right from the start. They secured a 24:12 lead after ten minutes. Singapore continued to mount the pressure in the second quarter. Singapore boosted the margin to as many as 22 points at the interval 48:26. Singapore stretched the gap in the third term. They cleared off to an unassailable 33 points and never looked back en route to the win. Lim Wai Sian (F/C) provided 14 points, while Wong Wei Long (172-G-88) had 11 points in the win. Hoang answered with 11 points for Vietnam. Huynh Hai Nguyen and Han Minh Trieu posted 8 points each in the loss.

Indonesia - Thailand 62:65 Thailand snatched a tough narrow win over Indonesia in the second semifinal at SEA Games 2011. Attaporn Lertmalaiporn knocked down two free throws late in the game to seal a massive comeback rally from the visitors in the fourth quarter. Thailand thus booked their spot in the championship game. They will take on Philippines tomorrow. Indonesia opened the game with a disciplined defence. They held their opponents to 10 points to take a 13:10 lead. Thailand narrowed the deficit in the second term. They got within a single point at the interval 30:31. Indonesia went on a 15:2 run in the third term to boost the lead. They enjoyed a 46:32 advantage midway through the third term and entered the final frame up by 9 points 52:43. Ratdech Kruatiwa (191-G/F-85) nailed a three-pointer to trigger a 12:1 run from the visitors as Thailand pulled ahead 57:56. Cambodia started the game strongly. They erupted for 28 points in the opening quarter taking a 6-point lead after ten minutes. Cambodia limited Myanmar to 12 points in the second term to establish a 43:34 halftime lead. But Myanmar changed the complexion of the encounter in the third term. They cut the deficit to 5 points with one quarter remaining. Myanmar surged ahead 80:78 with under four minutes remaining. But Cambodia crowned the game with six points in a row and stole their first win at the tournament. Mith Pek provided 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for Cambodia. Putratana Monh (180-G-81) added 12 points in the win. Chan Chan answered with 21 points for Myanmar. Win Cho tallied 20 points and 14 rebounds in the losing effort.
