Ammons
Al Gharafa Doha (D1) signed 25-year old American forward Mychal Ammons (198-102kg-92, college: S.Alabama). He played last summer at Garra Canera de Navolato in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 42 games he had very impressive stats: 20.0ppg, 10.2rpg (#3 in the league), 2.0apg, 1.1spg and 1.2bpg. Great season as he was named to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican CIBACOPA Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week (4 times). The last season Ammons played at BK Levicki Patrioti in Slovakian SBL where in 11 games he recorded 8.3ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.3apg, 1.7spg and 1.5bpg.
Ammons' team won PBA Governor's Cup Regular Season in 2016.
He is quite experienced player. Ammons has played in five different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally also in Argentina (Estudiantes Concordia), Philippines (TNT Ka Tropa), NBA G League (Salt Lake City Stars) and FYR Macedonia (Feni Industries).
Ammons attended University of South Alabama until 2014 and it will be his fourth season as a professional player.

Nick Stover (198-F-93, college: S.Alabama) almost single-handedly swept Al Arabi into the semi-finals of the Emir Cup basketball tournament, his 42-point effort proving too much for Al Khor at the Al Gharafa Sports Club yesterday.
