The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Doha: El Jaysh (#1) and Al Gharafa (#2). El Jaysh (18-0) won against visiting Al Gharafa (16-2) 74-65 and celebrated the League title. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Al Gharafa. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 35-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. 25 personal fouls committed by Al Gharafa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American power forward Vernon Macklin (208-86, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory with 38 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). point guard Fadi-Hani Abilmoni (184) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Sammy Monroe (198-85, college: Newberry) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for Al Gharafa. Undefeated El Jaysh have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-0 record. Al Gharafa at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost.

Senegalese center Oumar Seck (208-88) scored 9 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and AJ West chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian forward Aleksandar Mitrovic (201-90, agency: Interperformances) with 27 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Al Sadd moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Qatar Club. Al Ahli at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost.
The game between 10th ranked Al Khor (2-16) and fourth ranked Al Arabi (12-6) in Al Khor on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Doha beat Al Khor 80-62. Manny Adako notched a double-double by scoring 23 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 31 points and 18 rebounds by Dairese Gary did not help to save the game for Al Khor. Al Arabi moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Rayyan. Al Khor lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost.

Al Ahli was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 22-18 charge of Al Sadd, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Al Ahli 42-21 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Senegalese center Oumar Seck (208-88) scored 9 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward AJ West (206-91, college: Nevada) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Al Sadd players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian forward Aleksandar Mitrovic (201-90, agency: Interperformances) with 27 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Serbian point guard Branko Jereminov (186-87) scored 16 points and 8 assists. The game between 10th ranked Al Khor (2-16) and fourth ranked Al Arabi (12-6) in Al Khor on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Doha beat Al Khor 80-62. The game was mostly controlled by Al Arabi. Al Khor managed to win fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Al Khor 52-39 including a 39-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Arabi looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Al Khor's players. Nigerian-American power forward Manny Adako (203-87, college: Northeastern, agency: Court Side) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and American-Ghanian Adamu Saaka (198-88, college: Furman) supported him with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Even a double-double of 31 points and 18 rebounds by American point guard Dairese Gary (185-88, college: N.Mexico) did not help to save the game for Al Khor. Termoforgia Aurora Jesi (Serie A2) landed 28-year old American point guard Ken Brown (180-77kg-89, college: Philander Smith, agency: Octagon Europe). He played most recently at Al Sadd in Qatari D1 league. Brown managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!).
