Al Shamal Doha (D1) signed 25-year old Australian-South Sudanese forward Deng Deng (203-98kg-92, college: Baylor). He started the season at Texas Legends (D-League) in the U.S. In three games he had 4.3ppg and 4.0rpg this season.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Deng's team made it to the Big 12 Tournament Semifinals in 2015. He was also voted NJCAA All-Region XIV 2nd Team back in 2014 at his college time.
Deng represented Australia at the World University Games in Gwangju (South Korea) two years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 4.6ppg, 2.1rpg.
