Al Gharafa Doha (D1) landed 32-year old Jordanian ex-international guard Rasheim Wright (192-91kg-81, college: of District of Columbia). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Wright played most recently at M.H.Ahvaz in Iranian Superleague. In 10 games last season he averaged impressive 24.2ppg, 6.1rpg and 3.0apg. He also played at Anibal (Division A) in Lebanese Division A that season. In two games last year he had 8.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.0apg.
The previous (10-11) season Wright played at Philippine Patriots (ASEAN League) in Filipino league. In three games that year he had very impressive stats: 17.0ppg, 3.7rpg, 4.3apg and 2.3spg. Then he moved to Lebanon joining Anibal (18.7ppg and 3.9rpg in 12 games).
Among other achievements he won Jordanian League championship title in 2009. Wright received also Africabasket.com All-Pan Arab Games 1st Team award in 2011. He represented Jordan at the Pan Arab Games in Doha (Qatar) two years ago. Wrights team won Silver and his stats at that event were 7 games: Score-3 (21.7ppg), 5.6rpg, 2.9apg, 1.4spg, FGP: 37.5%, 3PT: 25.0%, FT: 65.4%.
Wright is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Argentina, Bosnia, Mexico, Turkey (Beykoz), Egypt (Zamalek), Lebanon (Sagesse and Al Moutahed), Jordan (Zain).
Wright attended of District of Columbia until 2005 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.

The Qatar national basketball team has left Doha for Suzhou, China, to take part in the third Atlas Basketball Challenge to be held from July 18 to 23. Aubenas US (NM1) tabbed 31-year old American guard Larry Williams (191-88kg-86, college: Ark.-Pine Bluff). He played most recently at Al Wakrah in Qatari D1 league, but left the team in Dec.'16. In 5 games he averaged impressive 22.4ppg, 5.0rpg, 4.4apg and 1.4spg last season. Part of previous (2015-16) season Williams spent at MAS Fes (also in D1) in Moroccan. Ken Brown (ex Al Sadd) signs at Jesi - 11 days ago
Termoforgia Aurora Jesi (Serie A2) landed 28-year old American point guard Ken Brown (180-77kg-89, college: Philander Smith, agency: Octagon Europe). He played most recently at Al Sadd in Qatari D1 league. Brown managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). He also played that season for Al Riyadi in Lebanese Pepsi LBL where in 12 games he averaged 11.7ppg, 2.9rpg, 5.4apg and 1.7spg.
