Angelico Biella (SerieA) landed 28-year old Qatari international guard Trey Johnson (196-99kg-84, college: Jackson State, agency: Priority Sports). Its actually his comeback to Angelico Biella as he played here before. Johnson has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Johnson played there last season.Johnson played for Bakersfield Jam (D-League) in the U.S.. In 15 games last year he averaged 13.3ppg, 3.2rpg and 4.9apg. He was called during the season by the New Orleans Hornets. But in 11 NBA games he had just 1.9ppg and 1.1rpg. Johnson also spent pre-season at BancaTercas that year. Part of last season he spent at the Lakers in NBA. He helped them to win the Pacific Division title. Johnson was called during the season by the Toronto Raptors. He contributed to his team making it to the conference semifinals.
In 2007 Jackson Wildcats selected him as fourth overall pick in USBL draft.
The former Jackson State star is in his sixth season in pro basketball.
Johnson received Gatorade All-D-League 1st Team award in 11. He also represented Qatar at the FIBA Asia Cup in Tokyo (Japan) this year. Johnson's team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 4 games: Score-3 (17.3ppg), 5.3rpg, Assists-3 (4.3apg), FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 25.0%, FT: 77.3%.
Johnson is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in France, Serbia (Vrsac), NBA (Cleveland Cavaliers and LA Lakers) and MBEL (Jackson Jam).

El Jaish and Al Gharafa will clash in the final of the Emir Cup basketball tournament after easing past their semi-final opponents yesterday. While El Jaish thrashed Al Arabi 81-55, Al Gharafa had a relatively tough match against Al Shamal before emerging 94-80 winners. Pioneros de Los Mochis (CIBACOPA) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American guard Nick Murphy (193-98kg-88, college: Jacksonville State). He played recently at Al Gharafa in Qatari D1 league. In 2011 Murphy was drafted by Iowa Energy (D-League) in fourth round (7th overall).
