Melton
30-year old guard Justin Melton (180-G-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Hotshots and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had the game-high 23 points adding six rebounds and eight assists for Hotshots in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team KIA Picanto (#12, 0-3) with 47-point margin 124-77. Hotshots is placed at 4th position in Filipino league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Hotshots will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Melton had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He has many years of experience at Hotshots, through which he has constantly improved. Justin Melton averages just after three games 9.3ppg and 4.7apg.

Second best performed player last round was Sean Anthony (193-F-86) of Globalport. He is naturalized American forward in his first season at Globalport. In the last game Anthony recorded impressive 29 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Globalport lost that game 97-104 to B.Ginebra (2-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Anthony is a newcomer at Globalport and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.0ppg (#4). He also registered 9.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Japeth Aguilar (206-C-87) of league's leader B.Ginebra. Aguilar showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of B.Ginebra, leading his team to a 104-97 win against Globalport (#11, 0-2). B.Ginebra has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Aguilar also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Aguilar has a very solid season. In 2 games in Philippines he scored 16.5ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Greg Slaughter (216-C-88) of B.Ginebra - 18 points and 9 rebounds
5. Chris Newsome (187-G-90) of Meralco Bolts - 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Calvin Abueva (190-F-88) of Alaska Aces - 19 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Ian Paul Sangalang (201-F/C-91) of Hotshots - 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
