Chris Ross came up big anew for the San Miguel Beermen as they asserted their authority in Game 3 to move within a win of the title in the 2016-2017 PBA Philippine Cup Finals!

SAN MIGUEL BEERMEN over BGY. GINEBRA GIN KINGS, 94-85
The San Miguel Beermen again got off to a scorching start before holding off a second half rally to clinch another victory over Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, 94-85, in Game 4 of the Oppo PBA Philippine Cup Finals on Friday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

June Mar Fajardo and Marcio Lassiter each scored 20 points on better than 60-percent shooting to lead San Miguel, which took a comfortable 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

'The Kraken' had a double-double as he grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked two shots as well while Lassiter helped stretch the floor by knocking down three out of his seven attempts from beyond the arc.

Chris Ross had another terrific performance, scoring 17 points - including 5-for-10 shooting from three - as well as dishing out nine assists. Joe Devance finished with 22 points on 9-for-12 shooting to lead Ginebra. (Interaksyon.com)

30-year old guard Justin Melton (180-G-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Hotshots and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 3. He had the game-high 23 points adding six rebounds and eight assists for Hotshots in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team KIA Picanto (#12, 0-3) with 47-point margin 124-77. The most surprising game was a loss of NLEX RW (2-1) in Makati City on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Phoenix (2-1) 102-95. Phoenix looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists.
