Lore Rivera (173-F-93) tallied impressive 27 points, 25 rebounds and 10 steals to lead Philippines. Laos ended the tournament winless. Philippines opened the proceedings with a 14:2 run. They enjoyed a 26:7 lead at the first break. Philippines maintained the advantage, moreover they established a 37:13 buffer midway through the second quarter. Scoreboard read 51:20 for the Filipino team at halftime. Laos showed some offensive presence in the third frame but still struggled defensively. Philippines eased to a 74:33 lead into the fourth quarter. They passed 100-mark and coasted to the clinical win at the end. Marie Aseron (170-F-93) and Danica Jose (185-C-94) produced 20 points each for Philippines. Camille Claro netted 15 points in the victory. Vatsana Souksavath (163-F-94) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds for Laos. Kinnalom Nanthalath had 10 points in the loss.

India U18 registered the fourth straight win at the Asia Championship in Thailand. They fired past Philippines earlier today to improve at 4-0 record on top of Level II ladder. Philippines slipped at 2-2 record. K Kavita (165-G-92) came up with 33 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort. India surged ahead right from the start. They quickly mounted a double-digit lead. India accounted for 27 points in the opening quarter to enjoy a 16-point advantage at the first break. India opened the second quarter with an 11:2 run to accumulate a massive lead. They continued to maintain the lead. India arrived at the final pause ahead by as many as 26 points 67:41. Andul Hameed Khan team boosted the gap to 35 points midway through the fourth term before finally loosening the grasp. Philippines went on a 14:4 run to trim the deficit a bit at the end of the game. Sneha Rajguru (178-F) provided 16 points and 11 rebounds for India. Deepa Lutukurthy (153-G-92) added 14 points for the winners. Alyanna Nitorreda (173-F-94) responded with 14 points for Philippines. They poured in 20 points to establish a 5-point lead at halftime. Philippines opened the third frame on a 15:6 run to take a comfortable lead. But Sri Lanka did not surrender. They answered with a 16:4 rally of their own to narrow the gap to just two points with one quarter remaining. Philippines needed an 11:0 run in the fourth quarter to escape for good in this one. Marie Aseron (170-F-93) produced 23 points for Philippines. Elrica Castro (168-G-93) added 16 points in the victory.
