Alaska Aces (PBA) added to their roster 28-year old French forward Robert Dozier (206-102kg-85, college: Memphis). He already started the season at Cajasol in Spanish ACB league. In four games this season he recorded 8.8ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.3bpg. Dozier also played 3 games in Eurocup where he averaged 11.3ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.3apg, 1.3spg and 1.0bpg. He also spent pre-season at the Heat (NBA) in NBA earlier that year. The last season Dozier played at Cholet Basket (ProA) in French ProA. In 22 games last year he averaged 9.5ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.1apg. He helped them to make it to the cup semifinals. The previous (10-11) season Dozier played at PAOK Thessaloniki (A1) in Greek A1. In 33 games that season he averaged 10.7ppg, 6.3rpg and 1.5apg. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 League Honorable Mention. Dozier also played 5 games in Eurocup where he averaged 10.8ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.0apg and 1.4spg. In 2009 he was drafted by Miami Heat (NBA) in second round (60th overall). The former University of Memphis star is in his fourth season in pro basketball. The list of the past achievements is quite long as his college team won C-USA Tournament for four years in a row (between 2006 and 2009). Dozier has played also professionally in Greece (Kolossos). The scouts decsribe him following way: A terrific finisher around the rim ... Has range out to the three-point line, but is better from the mid-range and in ... Has 7-foot-3 wingspan that he uses to his advantage ... Has ability to keep possessions alive by offensive rebounds/tips with his length ... Also able to block and alter shots on the defensive end with his wingspan.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Global Port (0-1) in Makati on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by TNT Ka Tropa (1-0) 128-114. TNT Ka Tropa looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 32 personal fouls committed by Global Port helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Jayson Castro-William (180-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Roger-Ray Pogoy (189-92) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized American forward Sean Anthony (193-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists for Global Port. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. TNT Ka Tropa is looking forward to face Phoenix in Quezon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. The explosive world import added 11 rebounds and nine assists that saw Alab erased a four point deficit in the last 19 seconds to tie the game through a put back by Balkman in the delight of the home crowd at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex in Laguna.
Balkman finished with 39 markers and 14 boards, Bobby Ray Parks (193-G-93) added 27 points, five rebounds and three steals before fouling out late in the fourth quarter and Lawrence Domingo (196-F-93, college: E.New Mexico) scored 14 points off the bench.
The win moves Alab two victories away in being the third Philippine team, after the AirAsia Philippine Patriots and San Miguel Beer, to clinch the coveted ABL title.
Michael Singletary (198-F-88, college: Texas Tech) exploded for 42 points while heritage import Filipino Paul Zamar (180-PG-87) finished with 25 markers which went for naught.
