Yeng Guiao
No PBA team has ever came back from a 3-0 deficit in the finals to win the crown.

This is the statement that the Talk N Text Tropang Texters will try to realize tonight as it goes for the crown in the 2013 PBA Philippine Cup at the historical Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. But the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, would like to delay any celebration and the sweep and maybe, with luck, strung up four straight wins to steal the championship.

Coach Yeng Guiao of the Elasto Painters knows that it will be a daunting task to achieve, but he said that they will go one game at a time. His counterpart, coach Norman Black , told his troops to remain focus to the task at hand try to finish the series.

Field goal shooting remains a problem for Guiao as the Elasto Painters only made 83 of a total 235 field goal attempts (35 percent) in the final series, way below the 40 percent performance during the elimination up to the semifinals. On the other hand, Black's wards have been living up to its billing as the top offensive team in the conference shooting 43 percent from the field.

The Best Player of the Conference will also be awarded before today's game as front runners, Texter's Jayson Castro (173-PG-86) and Ranidel deOcampo (195-F-81) and Alaska Aces' Calvin Abueva (88), vying for the said plum.

Baser Amer and Ranidel de Ocampo (197-F-81) added 10 points each for Meralco. Scores: Barangay Ginebra (86) - Brownlee 19, Aguilar 16, Tenorio 14, Devance 10, Thompson 9, Mer...   [read more]

Ginebra takes 2-0 lead over Meralco in Govs' Cup finals - 3 days ago
Barangay Ginebra San Miguel lived up to its 'Never Say Die' mantra by eking out a come-from-behind 86-76 win over the Meralco Bolts to go up 2-0 in their best-of-7 Governors' Cup finals series at the Araneta Coliseum Sunday, October 15. Down by 6 points with a little under 6 minutes left in the game, Ginebra banked on import Justin Brownlee (197-F-88, college: St.John's), who scored back-to-back points in their 10-0 run, to take a 79-75 advantage. Meralco had a chance to tie the game but...   [read more]

He played last summer at Rain or Shine in Filipino PBA league. In 10 games he recorded very impressive stats: 23.3ppg, 9.7rpg, 3.3apg and 1.2spg.
