Yeng Guiao
No PBA team has ever came back from a 3-0 deficit in the finals to win the crown.

This is the statement that the Talk N Text Tropang Texters will try to realize tonight as it goes for the crown in the 2013 PBA Philippine Cup at the historical Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. But the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, would like to delay any celebration and the sweep and maybe, with luck, strung up four straight wins to steal the championship.

Coach Yeng Guiao of the Elasto Painters knows that it will be a daunting task to achieve, but he said that they will go one game at a time. His counterpart, coach Norman Black , told his troops to remain focus to the task at hand try to finish the series.

Field goal shooting remains a problem for Guiao as the Elasto Painters only made 83 of a total 235 field goal attempts (35 percent) in the final series, way below the 40 percent performance during the elimination up to the semifinals. On the other hand, Black's wards have been living up to its billing as the top offensive team in the conference shooting 43 percent from the field.

The Best Player of the Conference will also be awarded before today's game as front runners, Texter's Jayson Castro (173-PG-86) and Ranidel deOcampo (195-F-81) and Alaska Aces' Calvin Abueva (88), vying for the said plum.
