India U18 registered the fourth straight win at the Asia Championship in Thailand. They fired past Philippines earlier today to improve at 4-0 record on top of Level II ladder. Philippines slipped at 2-2 record. K Kavita (165-G-92) came up with 33 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort.
India surged ahead right from the start. They quickly mounted a double-digit lead. India accounted for 27 points in the opening quarter to enjoy a 16-point advantage at the first break. India opened the second quarter with an 11:2 run to accumulate a massive lead. They continued to maintain the lead. India arrived at the final pause ahead by as many as 26 points 67:41. Andul Hameed Khan team boosted the gap to 35 points midway through the fourth term before finally loosening the grasp. Philippines went on a 14:4 run to trim the deficit a bit at the end of the game.
Sneha Rajguru (178-F) provided 16 points and 11 rebounds for India. Deepa Lutukurthy (153-G-92) added 14 points for the winners. Alyanna Nitorreda (173-F-94) responded with 14 points for Philippines. Camille Claro (158-G-96) finished with 13 points in the loss.

Seattle Storm released 23-year old naturalized Filipino center Chay Shegog (196-90, college: N.Carolina). Shegog ended this season at Toulouse Metropole Basket (LF2) in French league.
