Palestine - Lebanon 82:75

Palestine made their WABA Championship finale one to remember. They outscored the champions Lebanon to record the second win at the tournament. Jamal Abu-Shamala (196-F/G-87, college: Minnesota) stepped up with 32 points and 9 rebounds to lead the winners.
Lebanon who played without their charismatic leader Fadi Khatib led by five points after ten minutes 23:18. Lebanon stretched the margin to 6 points at the interval 38:32. However Palestine changed the complexion of the game in the third stanza. They spurred in front for a 57:55 advantage with one period remaining. Palestine outgunned Lebanon in the fourth frame to seal the victory at the end. Sakakini Sani (204-C-88) had 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Nicola Fadayel (194-F-87) finished with 17 points for Palestine. Nadim Souaid (192-F/G-86) answered with 18 points and 8 boards for Lebanon. Cheikh Hussein El Khatib (186-PG-86) netted 15 points in the loss.

Kalendia celebrate Palestine Premier League 2017/2018 title - 1 day ago
Kalendia celebrated Palestine Premier League 2017/2018 title in the country. In the Final series they overcame Orthodoxi Bethlehem. In game 1 Kalendia posted a 91-83 win as they dominated the majority of the game. Orthodoxi Bethlehem replied with a 97-92 victory to force the decider. Last night Kalendia needed a final 85-78 victory to win the title.   [read more]
Orthodoxi Bethlehem and Kalendia reach the Finals - 5 days ago
Orthodoxi Bethlehem and Kalendia reached the Finals as they rout their opponents in the semifinals clashes. Kalendia won both games against Sariya Ramallah, 81-80 and 91-80 to sweep the series. Orthodoxi Bethlehem meanwhile lost the opener to Orthodoxi Bayt Sahour 72-77. Later on Orthodoxi Bethlehem posted a 76-69 decisive win. As a reminder Sariya Ramallah won the Regular season with a 20-2 record, while Orthodoxi Bethlehem ended up second with a 19-3 record.   [read more]

Orthodoxi Bethlehem has a 13-1 record after the win over Birzaet 78-64. Earlier they beat Orthodoxi Ramallah 81-73. Sariya Ramallah is with 11-2 record on the second place after the win over De La Salle - Jerusalem 88-83. Orthodoxi Bayt Sahour is third with a 10-3. They edged Ibdae 81-78.   [read more]
