Jordan earned the first win at the 12th WABA Championship. The hosts fired past Palestine in Amman. Mousa Alawadi (188-G-85) delivered 19 points to pace Jordan.
The home team gave little hope for their opponents. Jordan surged ahead right from the start and posted a 19:10 lead after ten minutes. They maintained it well throughout the second term. Jordan gained a 38:22 halftime lead. Palestine could not change the complexion of the game after the big break. Jordan exploded with 28 points in the third quarter to pile up a 27-point buffer and never looked back en route to the win. Ali Jamal (205-C/F-88) had 16 points, while Fares Saqf-AlHait (194-G/F-87, college: Calumet) accounted for 12 points in the winning case. Nicola Fadayel (191-F-87) answered with 23 points for Palestine. Ahmad Tina netted 7 points in the loss.

SANI SAKAKINI Defending champion Ahli Shabab Dubai (D1) agreed terms with 29-year old Palestinian ex-international center Sani Sakakini (204-100kg-88). Kalendia celebrated Palestine Premier League 2017/2018 title in the country. In the Final series they overcame Orthodoxi Bethlehem. In game 1 Kalendia posted a 91-83 win as they dominated the majority of the game. Orthodoxi Bethlehem replied with a 97-92 victory to force the decider. Orthodoxi Bethlehem and Kalendia reach the Finals - 2 months ago
Orthodoxi Bethlehem and Kalendia reached the Finals as they rout their opponents in the semifinals clashes. Kalendia won both games against Sariya Ramallah, 81-80 and 91-80 to sweep the series. Orthodoxi Bethlehem meanwhile lost the opener to Orthodoxi Bayt Sahour 72-77. Later on Orthodoxi Bethlehem posted a 76-69 decisive win.
