The superleague title went to Ibdaa Dheisheh Camp Club this year 2012 after tough games throughout the league while the rising team was Orthodox Beit Sahour who earned the 2nd place.
The superleague for 2012 consisted of 12 teams, 4 of which will go down to Division 1 in 2013 which are Orthodox Bethlehem, Ahli AlQuds, Rameen and Eibal. While 2 teams from Division 1 will rise to Superleague in 2013 making it 10 teams allowing for Home/Away games.
Ibdaa Dheisheh played 11 games, won 10 and lost 1 earning 142 points, led by the well-known Palestinian National Team player Yahya AlKhatib (190-G-77) along with the shooting guards and small forwards: Abdalla Jaber, Khaled Khmayes, Husam Obeid, Firas Shalan, Ramzi Jaffal and the new addition Ahmad Kandil while the forwards and centers were Thaer Jaffal, Iyad Abdallah, Yousef Adawi, Nader Glassy and the new addition Ahmad Okab.
Orthodox Beit Sahour played 11 games, won 9 and lost 2 earning 91 points, led by Coach Paul Guerroro (an Ex-Beit Sahour player when imports were
allowed), giving his team an international experience in practices, drills and team plays. The team was led by the talented young player Ibrahim Habash who has great potential ahead of him, along with Maher Kassis, Oday Hilal (who was injured for a few weeks), Samer Abu Aitah, Issa Salsa, Rami Salsa, and the new addition Osama Abu Jaber, along with Rafat Bannoura and Husam Kokaly.

Division One games also started, with 14 teams taking part, divided into North and South cities. At the moment, Huwara and Samaritans are in the lead for the North Part, while Islami Bethlehem and Qalandia are in the lead for the South Part.
The Palestinian National Team is also getting ready for the West Asian Games which will take place in Jordan Mid June, more details to follow soon.

Maghazi clinched the Gaza Cup title. They overcame Khadamat Al Biraij 77:54 in the Final. Maghazi grabbed a 21:16 lead after the opening quarter. They stretched the gap in the second period. Four games were played at the Palestine Basketball Cup. Al-Buraig Service won over Jabalia Services 91:50, while Khadamat AL Maghazi edged Itihad Dear AL Balah 78:40. On March 7th Khanounes Services overcame Gaza Sporting Club and Khadamat Dear AL Balah beat Rafah Services 97:83.
In the next round Jabalia Services will face Beach Services, while Itihad Dear AL Balah will take on Rafah Services.

Al Riyadi Amman (Premier League) signed 25-year old Palestinian ex-international center Sani Sakakini (204-100kg-88). Its actually his comeback to Al Riyadi Amman as he played here before. Sakakini played last season at Qingdao Double Star Eagles in Chinese CBA league, which is considered top league in Asia. In 31 games last year he had 10.5ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.3apg and 1.0spg.
