The Palestinian Mens National Team is currently in Qatar taking part in the Arab Tournaments with 10 players headed by the President of the Palestinian Basketball Federation Khader Diab.

The team had his first game against Qatar and lost 61 - 78 and the quarters are as follows (26-8) (20-14) (18-8) (21-14). Nicola Fadayel and Jamal Abu Shamel were the 2nd best scorers in the game scoring 14 points and Yahia Al Khatib (190-G-77), with 10 points ( 2 3points)

It is important to note that the Palestinian National Team includes players from the same country though never practising together nor seeing each other due to occupation and it was their first time to meet in Qatar as one National Team. As some of these players are from Gaza and the others are from West Bank along with one Palestinian player living in Canada and the other in the United States.
The players are Nicola Fadayel (Canada), Jamal Abu Shamaleh (US), Yahia Al Khatib (190-G-77), Odai Hilal, Ibrahim Habash (junior), Ibrahim abu Rahaleh, Wael Tayem , Ahmad Mahdi , Iyad Abdallah, Saleem Sakakini.

The team will meet Saudi Arabia next where they are expected to perform better after practising with each other, thereafter Kuwait.
