The Awarding Ceremony started right after the final match between Mongolia and Chinese Taipei on Sep. 24th. AUSF Assessor Jargalsaikhan Dorjsuren, who is also Secretary General of Mongolian Student Sports Federation, presented the Bronze medals to China. AUSF Delegate Ha Woong Yong presented the Silver medals to Chinese Taipei. In the following, 6 players were awarded for their excellence and contribution to the teams: Zheng Yi from China, Best Center; Tsai Choi Kwan (186-SF-95) from Hong Kong, China, Best Shooting Guard; Huang Tsang-Chun from Chinese Taipei, Best Forward; Lee Kai Yan from Chinese Taipei, Best Point Guard; Temuujin Ariunbold (195-F/G-92) from Mongolia, Best Forward. The MVP went to Dulguun Enkhbat (190-F/G-92), who was also from Mongolia. In the end, the Champion of the 6th Asian University Basketball Championship-Mongolia walked into the stage. President of the Organizing Committee, Erdenee Sodnomzundui, who is also the President of Mongolian National Basketball Association, awarded the medals to the players, together with the AUSF Technical Delegate Lei Si Man who is also the Professor of University of Macau. After taking group pictures, all the winning players turned right and watched their national flags rising solemnly in the anthem of AUSF.

Newly promoted Racing Luxembourg (Total League) inked 29-year old American power forward Arbry Butler (206-98kg-88, college: USC Aiken). He played most recently at Khasiin Huleguud in Mongolian Superleague. Butler also played that season for Stade Nabeulien (Division I) in Tunisian league. He was selected to All-PeachBelt 3rd Team in 2016. Butler has played also professionally in APBL (Beltway Bombers). Arhangai Altan celebrate 7th consecutive win - 1 month ago
Arhangai Altan celebrated 7th consecutive win as they beat UVS 84-70. Onolbaatar netted 23 points to lead the winners and Ganbold as well as Amarbayaslagan added 12 each. Usukhbayar replied with 19 points in defeat. Khovd AA meanwhile improved to a 6-0 record beating Bayankhongor 79-66. Enhbaat top-scored for the winners with 23 points and 18 rebounds. Gotov added 20 and Byartmu netted 15. Suhbat replied with 26 points in the losing effort.   [read more]
Hovd Shonkhoruud edges UVS for 2-0 record on top - 2 months ago
Hovd edged UVS for a 2-0 record on top of the 2017/2018 season ladder. Hovd nailed 30 points in the first period and led 14 points at the halftime. Moreover they won the third frame 25-14 and did not mind 20-25 loss at the end of the game. Delgeen Anhbaat stepped up with 21 points and Batzhargal Ardenebileg netted 13.
