Lord Tigers clinch EBL title with a convincing 75-58 win in the Final game against Wasps. Trailing 2 points at the end of the first period, the Tigers needed a 20-11 surge to take a 35-28 half-time advantage. Moreover, they added a 23-18 rally in the third period and closed the game with a final 17-12 run. Jessie Collado (193-F/C-87) top-scored for the winners with 23 points, while Chze Hian Chai (182-SG-82) added 15. Paul Christian Zamar (180-PG-87) replied with 11 points in a loss and Michael Parala (196-F-89) posted 10.

Cheng Huat quits national team to focus on grassroots level - 6 days ago
Cheng Huat Goh has resigned as the chief coach of the national men's basketball team to focus on grassroots development. The 62-year-old, who was re-hired in May last year for the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games in August, quit last week. His contract was due to expire at the end of this month. KL Malaysia Dragons (ASEAN League) tabbed 26-year old American forward Curtis Washington (208-109kg-91, college: Georgia State). He played in the summer at Taranaki Mountainairs in New Zealand NBL league. In 6 games he averaged 9.0ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.0apg and 1.0bpg. Pahang failed to retain the MABA Cup National Basketball Championship title after losing to Negeri Sembilan 66-72. It was a repeat of last year's final and Negeri Sembilan just managed to hold on until the end at the MABA Stadium on Sunday.
