Lord Tigers clinch EBL title with a convincing 75-58 win in the Final game against Wasps. Trailing 2 points at the end of the first period, the Tigers needed a 20-11 surge to take a 35-28 half-time advantage. Moreover, they added a 23-18 rally in the third period and closed the game with a final 17-12 run. Jessie Collado (193-F/C-87) top-scored for the winners with 23 points, while Chze Hian Chai (182-SG-82) added 15. Paul Christian Zamar (180-PG-87) replied with 11 points in a loss and Michael Parala (196-F-89) posted 10.

Westports Malaysia Dragons missed out another season this year to reclaim the Straits Cup from the Singapore Slingers, losing a challenging double overtime game by a razor-thin point, 90-89. Mono Thewphaingarm (TBL) added to their roster 30-year old American center Anthony McClain (211-120kg-88, college: Cincinnati). It is actually his comeback to Mono Thew as he has played here before. McClain played last summer at PRG Eagles in Malaysian MPL league. He also played for Mono Thew that season where in 28 TBL games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.1ppg, 15.2rpg (#5 in the league) and 3.0bpg. McClain helped them to make it to the final. AJ West (ex Bigua) signs at KL Dragons - 1 month ago
KL Malaysia Dragons (ASEAN League) landed 27-year old American center AJ West (206-107kg-91, college: Nevada). He played recently at Bigua in Uruguayan LUB league. In 7 games he averaged 14.6ppg, 11.1rpg and 1.6bpg this season. The most of last season West spent at Al Sadd in Qatari D1 where in 15 games he had very impressive stats: 20.3ppg, 13.5rpg, 2.3apg, 1.1spg and 1.6bpg.
