McClain comes back to Mono Thew, ex PRG Eagles - Jan 27, 2018

Mono Thewphaingarm (TBL) added to their roster 30-year old American center Anthony McClain (211-120kg-88, college: Cincinnati). It is actually his comeback to Mono Thew as he has played here before. McClain played last summer at PRG Eagles in Malaysian MPL league. He also played for Mono Thew that season where in 28 TBL games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.1ppg, 15.2rpg (#5 in the league) and 3.0bpg. McClain helped them to make it to the final. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Asia-Basket.com All-Thailand TBSL Player of the Year, Asia-Basket.com All-Thailand TBSL Defensive Player of the Year and Import Player of the Year.
He won Thailand Basketball League championship title in 2015.
McClain is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in five different countries. McClain tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Slovakia (Nitra), Tunisia (U.S. Monastir), Libya (Ahly Benghazi), Czech Republic (MMCITE Brno) and Thailand (Mono Vampire).
McClain attended University of Cincinnati until 2012 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
On McClain: Physical 7fter who loves to play with his back to the basket. Good rebounder and good touch around the rim with both left and right hand. Hard working big man who is also well liked by all his teammates.

Unseeded Malaysia face Philippines again in U-16 tourney - 1 month ago
The Malaysian junior boys basketball team have a challenging task in the Fiba Asia Under-16 Championship in Foshan, China, from April 2-8. Malaysia earned their spot on merit after finishing second in the Southeast Asian Basketball (SEABA) Under-16 Championship behind regional powerhouse - the Philippines last year. BRYAN DAVIS KL Dragons Basketball Academy (MPL) agreed terms with 31-year old American power forward Bryan Davis (206-113kg-86, college: Texas A&M). He just played at Trouville in Uruguayan LUB league. In 10 games he had 11.6ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.8apg and 1.5spg this season. Davis also spent pre-season at CS Antonins (Pepsi LBL) in Lebanese league that year. He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
