Chico Lanete (183-G-79) came up with 14 points to lead balanced effort from the winners. Philippines gained a 15:8 lead ten minutes into the game. They exploded with 28 points in the second term to boost the lead to 27-point mark at halftime. Philippines kept their opponents at bay throughout the third quarter. They piled up a 37-point buffer with ten minutes remaining. Philippines never looked back afterwards coasting to the victory at the end. Marcus Douthit (210-C/F-80, agency: Edge Sports, college: Providence) delivered 11 points, while Marnel Baracael (191-F/G-85) had 9 points in the winning case. Wei Hong Choo (196-C-92) reacted with 8 points for Malaysia. Shee Fai Loh (192-G/F-89), Juin Wip Chong (188-F-91) and Sing Tee Ng dropped 6 points apiece in the loss.

Westports KL Dragons and Petron Blaze came up with one of the most exciting clashes in the ASEAN League history. The teams came up with a triple-overtime thriller as Blaze snatched an impressive victory at the end. Brian Williams (208-C-87, college: Tennessee) and Leo Avenido (186-G-78) accounted for 22 points to lead the Blaze to the 16th straight win in the season. The teams stayed close throughout the opening quarter. The scoreboard read 24:24 at the end of it. The Blaze pulled ahead in the second frame. The Filipino team earned a 44:40 halftime lead. The Dragons did not allow the visitors to clear off. The Malaysian team got within three points at the third intermission. The home team were able to deny the deficit in the fourth period. Moreover KL Dragons surged ahead but Leo Avenido tied things up at 79 and forced overtime. KL Dragons stayed in front throughout the first overtime but once again Leo Avenido stepped up for the visitors and his three-pointer sent the game into the second extra period. The Blaze pulled ahead for a 100:98 lead late in the second overtime but Gavin Edwards (206-F/C-88, college: Connecticut) stepped up for the hosts and evened things up at 100. Leo Avenido and Paolo Hubalde (180-G-81) came up with key points in the third overtime to finally seal the victory for the Blaze. Paolo Hubalde delivered 18 points, while Acuna added 13 points for the winning side. Gavin Edwards responded with 29 points for the Dragons. Armon Siefain had 27 points in the loss.
