Jasmon
Youngblood
Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (Pepsi LBL) signed 33-year old Lebanese ex-international shooting guard Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent State) from Byblos Sporting Club. He has played there for the last five years. In 29 Pepsi LBL games he had very impressive stats: 21.2ppg, 5.4rpg, 3.6apg and 1.9spg (in top 4) last season. Youngblood helped them to make it to the semifinals. Quite impressive season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League 1st Team and All-Imports Team.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Lebanese Cup in 2012 and 2016.
He is a dual citizen owning also American passport.
Youngblood represented Lebanon at the Asian Championships in Changsha-Hunan (China) two years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 17.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 3.1apg, 1.5spg, FGP: 54.9%, 3PT: 30.0%, FT: 53.2%.
Youngblood is quite experienced player. He has played in four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Youngblood has played previously professionally in Austria (Gunners Oberwart, Furstenfeld Panthers and Kapfenberg Bulls), Poland (Swiecie), Lebanon (Anibal and Champville) and IBL (Cuyahoga FC).
He attended Kent State until 2006 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player.
Youngblood could be described: Is a versatile player that can play at either of the wing positions, or can play at the four in Kent State's system ... Is a complete all-around player and a proven winner, having played in back-to-back junior college national championships ... Has the ability to create his own shot, rebound and finish.
