American Forward Calvin Godfrey (206-F-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for Sagesse, receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 6 (Second Stage).
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Louaize (#3, 11-13) 88-81. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Sagesse maintains the 4th position in Lebanese Pepsi LBL. Sagesse is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 16th lost game this season out of 24 games. Godfrey just recently signed at Sagesse, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former University of Memphis star has very solid stats this year. Godfrey is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 9.9rpg) and averages impressive 2.1bpg and 58.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American Daniel Orton (208-F-90) of Champville. Orton had a very good evening with a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Champville lost that game 81-86 to slightly higher-ranked Tadamon (#3, 10-14). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Champville still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-15 record. Orton is one of the most experienced players at Champville and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Nigerian forward Alade Aminu (210-F/C-87, agency: Three Eye Sports) of league's top team Al Riyadi. Aminu scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was a key player of Al Riyadi, leading his team to a 88-82 win against #2 ranked Moutahed. Al Riyadi confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 18 victories and 6 lost games. Aminu has a great season in Lebanon. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.3rpg (8th best). He also has 1.2bpg and FGP: 56.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Wendell Lewis (208-C-89) of Louaize - 24 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Mile Ilic (215-C-84) of Tadamon - 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Branko Cvetkovic (200-F/G-84) of Al Riyadi - 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Dewarick Spencer (192-G-82) of Moutahed - 24 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Kevin Galloway (200-PG-88) of Homenetmen - 15 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Ahmad Ismail (205-F/C-76) of Al Riyadi - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Michael Efevberha (193-G-84) of Sagesse - 29 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
