34-year old guard Dewarick Spencer (192-G-82, agency: Higher Vision Sports) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Moutahed and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 5 (Second Stage).
He had the game-high 33 points adding eight rebounds and six assists for Moutahed in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Tadamon (#3, 9-14) 102-101. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Moutahed maintains the 2nd position in Lebanese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Moutahed will need more victories to improve their 13-10 record. In the team's last game Spencer had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Moutahed's top player in his first season with the team. Arkansas State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Spencer is in league's top in assists (9th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 50.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ater Majok (208-C-87) of top-ranked Homenetmen. He is naturalized South Sudanese center in his first season at Homenetmen. In the last game Majok recorded impressive double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Homenetmen to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Louaize (#3, 11-12) 98-77. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Homenetmen consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team belongs to top of the standings with 22-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Majok is a newcomer at Homenetmen and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Michael Efevberha (193-G-84) of Sagesse (#4). Efevberha got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds . He was a key player of Sagesse, leading his team to a 72-63 win against #2 ranked Byblos. The chances of Sagesse not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 16 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Efevberha could try to bring Sagesse's a little bit higher in the standings. Efevberha has individually a great season in Lebanon. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.1ppg (9th best) and assists with 5.0apg (8th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Fadi El Khatib (198-F/G-79) of Homenetmen - 31 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Brandon Thomas (198-G/F-84) of Champville - 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
