There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Second Stage in Pepsi LBL.

The most important game in the last round took place in Zouk between Al Moutahed (11-9) and Tadamon (7-13) on Thursday night. Al Moutahed was defeated by Tadamon in a tough game on the road 71-75. American forward Maurice Kemp (203-91, college: E.Carolina, agency: Duran International) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 5 rebounds. Bosnian-Serbian center Mile Ilic (215-84) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Ramel Curry (191-80, college: CSU Bakersfield) replied with 19 points and 6 assists for Al Moutahed. Tadamon are looking forward to face Champville (#3) in Dik El Mehdi in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Al Moutahed will play on the road against Al Riyadi in Beirut and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Homenetmen (19-1) which played road game in Zouk against Louaize (10-10). Homenetmen had an easy win 96-62. The former international swingman Fadi El-Khatib (198-79) scored 29 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Ater Majok chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. International guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) responded with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Homenetmen will play against Byblos at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Louaize will play against Sagesse and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists by Michael Efevberha did not help to save the game for Sagesse. Byblos will meet Homenetmen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sagesse will play against Louaize in Zouk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The best player for the winners was Mohamad Haidar who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds. Al Riyadi's next round opponent will be Al Moutahed in Tripoli and it will be for sure the game of the week. Champville will play at home against Tadamon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

An interesting game for Homenetmen (19-1) which played road game in Zouk against Louaize (10-10). Homenetmen had an easy win 96-62. Homenetmen players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international swingman Fadi El-Khatib (198-79) scored 29 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international center Ater Majok (208-87, college: Connecticut) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Homenetmen players scored in double figures. International guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) responded with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American Travis McKie (201-92, college: Wake Forest, agency: Diamond Sports) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. An interesting game for Byblos (15-5) which played road game in Beirut against Sagesse (6-14). Byblos managed to get a 10-point victory 86-76. The game was mostly controlled by Byblos. Sagesse managed to win third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naturalized American swingman Tarek Ammoury (196-90, college: Marymount) notched 24 points to lead the effort and French power forward Ali Traore (207-85, college: S.Idaho JC, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 21 points.
