Dewayne
Jackson
26-year old forward Dewayne Jackson (203-F-90, agency: Higher Vision Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Homenetmen and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.
He had the game-high 33 points adding six rebounds and seven assists for Homenetmen in his team's victory, helping them to beat Hoops (#10, 3-14) 90-76. It allowed Homenetmen to consolidate first place in the Lebanese league. Homenetmen has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 15-1. In the team's last game Jackson had a remarkable nine three-pointers out of 13 attempts. It's his second year at Homenetmen and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Morgan State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jackson is in league's top in points (2nd best: 25.7ppg) and averages solid 2.5spg and 55.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Darian Townes (208-F/C-84) of Champville. He is American forward in his first season at Champville. In the last game Townes recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Champville to another comfortable win outscoring the higher-ranked Byblos (#3, 12-5) 104-83. Champville's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 8-9 record. Townes is a newcomer at Champville and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Michael Efevberha (193-G-84) of Sagesse (#7). Efevberha got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds and ten assists. He was a key player of Sagesse, leading his team to a 90-77 easy win against Tadamon (5-11). The chances of Sagesse not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 11 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Efevberha could try to bring Sagesse's a little bit higher in the standings. Efevberha has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.3apg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Kenny Adeleke (205-C-83) of Sagesse - 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Markeith Cummings (198-SF-88) of Champville - 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Wendell Lewis (208-C-89) of Louaize - 20 points and 12 rebounds
7. Jasmon Youngblood (195-SG-84) of Byblos - 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Robert Upshaw (213-C-94) of Mayrouba - 28 points and 10 rebounds
9. Maurice Kemp (203-F-91) of Tadamon - 23 points and 12 rebounds
10. Emmanuel Jones (200-F-85) of Mayrouba - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
