Lebanon claimed the second straight win at the WABA Championship. They topped Palestine to stay perfect in Amman. Elie Stephan (193-SG-86, college: Alabama So. CC) scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to pace the winners.
Lebanon erupted for 29 points in the opening frame to gain an 11-point lead. Lebanon extended the lead in the second frame. They established a 50:26 halftime lead. Lebanon dropped 49 points in the second half and cruised to the victory. Fadi Khatib (198-F/G-79) accounted for 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Jamal Abu-Shamala (196-F/G-87, college: Minnesota) responded with 25 points for Palestine as they dropped at 0-2 record.
