Fadi El
Khatib
37-year old swingman Fadi Khatib (198-F/G-79) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Homenetmen and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 26 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Homenetmen in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Champville (#7, 3-6) with 27-point margin 82-55. It allowed Homenetmen to consolidate first place in the Lebanese league. Homenetmen have a solid 8-1 record. In the team's last game Khatib had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Homenetmen's top player in his first season with the team. Khatib has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 22.2ppg) and averages solid 44.4% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Emmanuel Jones (200-F-85) of Mayrouba. He is American forward in his first season at Mayrouba. In the last game Jones recorded impressive double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Mayrouba lost that game 65-74 to the higher-ranked Moutahed (#5, 5-4). This loss caused Mayrouba to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Jones is one of the most experienced players at Mayrouba and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. Former University of Texas Rio Grande Valley star Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Terrell Stoglin (185-G-91) of Sagesse (#9). Stoglin got into 30-points club by scoring 50 points in the last round. Despite Stoglin's great performance Sagesse lost 79-109 to the higher-ranked Al Riyadi (#3, 6-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Sagesse not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Stoglin could try to bring Sagesse's a little bit higher in the standings. Stoglin has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 34.7ppg (best scorer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ndudi Ebi (206-F-84) of Byblos - 24 points and 18 rebounds
5. Alade Aminu (210-F/C-87) of Al Riyadi - 22 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Maurice Kemp (203-F-91) of Tadamon - 30 points and 7 rebounds
7. Dewayne Jackson (203-F-90) of Homenetmen - 32 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Jasmon Youngblood (195-SG-84) of Byblos - 28 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Darrius Garrett (206-C-90) of Hoops - 14 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Ivan Johnson (203-F/C-84) of Sagesse - 16 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
