The most of previous (2016) summer Jones spent at Beijing Dongfang where in 26 NBL games he averaged remarkable 35.0ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.7apg and 1.5spg in 2016 season. Great year indeed as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese NBL Honorable Mention and to the All-Star Game. He also played for San Lazaro (District National) in Dominican Rep. league that season.
Among other achievements Jones won Taiwanese SBL championship title in 2011. He received also Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese SBL Player of the Year award and Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese SBL Import Player of the Year award back in 2011.
Jones is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in five different countries. Jones has played previously professionally in Canada (Halifax_Rainmen), Malaysia (Sarawak Fire Horse), Ukraine (Budivelnyk), NBA G League (Salt Lake City Stars and Austin Spurs) and Taiwan (Taiwan Beer).
Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him to get the job in pro basketball.
He attended University of Texas Rio Grande Valley until 2009 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
