Krasnie Krilya Samara (PBL) added to their roster 37-year old American guard DeJuan Collins (188-85kg-76, college: Tuskegee). He was tested at Al Riyadi in Lebanese Division A, but was not approved after all. The last season Collins played at Zalgiris (LKL) in Lithuanian league. The team played in four different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 16 LKL games he recorded 5.1ppg, 2.1rpg, 1.6apg and 1.2spg. Collins also played 12 games in Euroleague where he averaged 6.3ppg, 1.3rpg and 1.5apg. He also played 2 games in Baltic League where he averaged 5.5ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.0apg. And finally Collins played 15 games in VTB United League where he averaged 3.5ppg, 1.7rpg and 1.7apg. He helped them to make it to the quarterfinals.

He has played also in Germany (ALBA Berlin, Brose Baskets Bamberg and Walter Tigers), Greece (Aris and Kavala), Italy (Cimberio Varese), Spain (Cajasol) and Russia (Lokomotiv). Collins attended Tuskegee University until 1999 and it is his 14th (!!!) season as a professional player. The scouts decsribe him following way:
DeJuan is a big strong physical guard, who is able to score off the penetration as well as his perimeter shooting. With a strong powerful first step and his quickness, he is very difficult to defend. He is a fierce competitor, who backs down from nobody, as he has been known to dunk over 7'0' players. He is also a very physical defender, as his athleticism allows him to shut down players. He is capable of playing the point guard and shooting guard position.
DeJuan is a very outgoing person, who loves to compete and win. He makes his off-season home in Baton Rogue, Louisiana.
