Anderson
The quarterfinal round in the Dubai International Tournament this year joined two Lebanese teams, Riyadi and Moutahed,Riyadi finished first of group A as for Moutahed finished 4th in group B.
Moutahed missing 3 key players to injuries , Erci Chatfield,Larry Cox and Bassel Bawji had a great start especially on defense , the zone defense created lot of problems to Riyadi players who failed to deal with it and trailed at the end of the first quarter 21-11. The second quarter was another story , Riyadi minute after minute knew how to strengthen their defense and how to adapt their offense, Through the 3 pointers made by Rashad Anderson and Amir Saoud, this factor brought back Riyadi to the game and gave them the lead at the half on the score of 29-35.
The third quarter both teams played their basketball and the tempo was an equal one and no team had the big supremacy , the 3rd quarter finished at the score of 47-54. The Last quarter saw Riyadi doing a run to lead by 13 points by Moutahed was always answering back and keeping the pressure on Riyadi but in the end the experience pravailed and Riyadi managed to win the game at the score of 65-73.
Rashad Anderson led all scorers in the game with 20 points , Ismal Ahmad with 12 as for Roy Samaha he had a very good game with 17 points , Marc Salyers with 12 and Rony Fahed with 10.

Michael Taylor(186-G-86, college: Iowa St.) changed the tempo of the game, cutting through Sagesse's defense as a knife through butter. The greens slow transition was obviously causing them trouble. Taylor and co were running like they never did before. The introduction of Nadim...   [read more]
