Experienced Jamaican-American Corey Williams (191-G-77) had an amazing evening in the last round for Bejjeh and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 35-year old guard recorded a triple-double of 26 points addeding also twelve rebounds and twelve assists, while his team edged out Anibal (#10, 1-6) 78-75. Bejjeh maintains the 7th position in Lebanese Division A. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 5 games and had just two victories. Williams turned to be Bejjeh's top player in his first season with the team. Alabama State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams is in league's top in points (8th best: 21.9ppg), assists (8th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 3.0spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old Canadian Michael Fraser (203-C/F-84) of Byblos. Fraser impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Byblos lost that game 115-123 to league's leader Sagesse (#1, 7-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Byblos still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 4-3 record is not bad at all. Fraser is a newcomer at Byblos and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Larry Blair (183-G-84, agency: R.H.Consultancy) of Hoops (#8). Blair got into 30-points club by scoring 40 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds and eight assists. He was a key player of Hoops, leading his team to a 109-106overtime win against slightly lower-ranked Antranik (#9, 1-5). Hoops can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Blair he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Blair has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.9ppg (2nd best) and assists with 5.7apg (2nd best). He also has 2.7spg and FGP: 52.0%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Aaron Harper (199-G/F-81) of Sagesse - 39 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Asenso Ampim (198-F) of Antranik - 22 points, 23 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Novar Gadson (200-G/F) of Antranik - 37 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Eric Chatfield (191-G-79) of Moutahed - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Larry Blair (183-G-84) of Hoops - 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Harold Jamison (204-C-76) of Bejjeh - 24 points and 14 rebounds
10. Nikoloz Tskitishvili (212-C/F-83) of Champville - 18 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
