Riyadi had no problems reaching the Final at the Asia Club Championship. The hosts cruised past Belent in the first semifinal tonight. Amir Saoud (188-G-91) came up with 45 points and 6 rebounds to lead the hosts.
Riyadi left their opponents far behind after the opening quarter. The Lebanese team went on a 32:8 run in the first period. Riaydi maintained the advantage throughout the second stanza. The hosts accounted for a 61:27 halftime lead. Riyadi exploded with 30 points in the third term to gain an insurmountable 91:38 lead at the final break. Belent outscored Riyadi in the fourth frame but just sweetened the pill at the end. Omar El Turk (186-SG-81, college: Dawson Coll.) and Wael Arakji (193-G-94) netted 12 points each for the winners. Aleksandr Kozlov (200-F-82) answered with 16 points for Belent. Begench Akmammedov (197-F-84) had 15 points in the loss.

Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Al Riyadi as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group A. Al Riyadi defeated 3rd placed Champville in Beirut 91-81. Al Riyadi dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Champville's 42. DENG DENG Louaize Zouk (LBL) added to their roster 26-year old Australian-South Sudanese forward Deng Deng (203-98kg-92, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports). He started the season at Korihait in Finnish Korisliiga. In 8 games he recorded 11.1ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.5apg and 1.8bpg this season.
