Riyadi celebrated the fourth straight win at the Asia Club Championship. The Lebanese team overcame Mahram to remain undefeated at the end of preliminary round. Ahmad Ibrahim (202-G/F-92, college: Rice) came up with 29 points to pace the hosts. Mahram finished in the second spot at 3-1 record.
Riyadi limited Mahram to just 6 points in the opening frame to secure an 11-point advantage after ten minutes. Riyadi extended the lead in the second stanza. The Lebanese side arrived at halftime 37:21 halftime advantage. Riyadi poured in 28 points in the third stanza to keep the visitors at bay. Riyadi headed into the fourth quarter up by 18 points and never looked back en route to the win. Ahmad Ismail (205-F/C-76) netted 19 points, while Loren Woods (218-C-78, college: Arizona) had 12 points and 16 rebounds for Riyadi. Mahdi Kamrani (186-PG-82) answered with 21 points for Mahram. Mousa Nabipour (212-C/F-83) and Ratko Varda (215-C/F-79, agency: Beo Basket) had 10 points each in the loss.

American Swingman Sam Young (198-F/G-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for Homenetmen, receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 6. The 32-year old player had a double-double of 34 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Byblos (#7, 1-5) 90-80. Homenetmen maintains the 3rd position in Lebanese Pepsi LBL. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team and favorites losing the games. The most surprising game was the first loss ofHomenetmen (5-1) in Beirut on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by ninth ranked Louaize (1-5) 92-91. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Homenetmen. Defending champion CEZ Basketball Nymburk (NBL) agreed terms with 27-year old American forward Calvin Godfrey (206-109kg-90, college: Memphis). He already started the season at Moutahed in Lebanese Pepsi LBL. Quite impressive season as he League Player of the Week.
