A Strange situation with the Lebanese Clubs these days , many players , Coaches , Agents are not being paid on time and sometimes not at all which is obliging the involved persons to treat the clubs to go to BAT which is the Basketball Arbitral Tribunal created by FIBA to settle these type of conflicts.

Among these teams Antranik who were in dispute with one player who played with them the past season, Riyadi they had a dispute with Anthony Williams and they settled it and finally Anibal the finalist of last season who owes players and agents good amount of money. Agents who worked with Anibal last season threat to go to BAT to collect their money and moreover they informed all International agents they work with not to deal with such clubs. Going to BAT will harm the image of the Club and the Lebanese Basketball moreover will oblige the team to pay the fees and the all the BAT expenses + Interest. Not honoring the awards of BAT will lead to bigger sanctions and moreover will oblige the LBF not to allow the club to sign any new players and to allow him to participate in any tournament or championship outside Lebanon. (FIBA Regulations)

One other thing the famous player Guarnette Thompson who played in Lebanon for the past 2 seasons and helped champville to win their first championship expressed to his entourage that he will go to BAT due that he still have a one season deal with the Lebanese Champion and he was released withoutany settlement. Champville Is working to retain their title and this is creating for them some obstacles due that till this day they signed 4 players and they are allowed to keep only 2 for the League.
