Riyadi end their Skills Development Camp - Jul 19, 2012

Prior to the first phase of the season preparations, AL Riyadi Club ended their Skills Development Camp of young prospects who will have a big impact on the club's future.
Camp was lead by Coach Jade Fattouh and Coach Ahmad Farran and lasted for 5 weeks before ending it in two friendly games during festivals in Shhim and Mazboud.
Training sessions focused on improving individual skills and preparing those talents for the big responsibility they will have soon when representing the first team as well as the youth national teams.
Team stopped training now, players Wael Arakji, Karim Tbaja and Jimy Salem will continue their preparations with the U18 national team while veterans started practicing with the senior national team.
Al Riyadi senior team will start their official season preparations on August 15th with an altitude camp in the Lebanese city "Bologna" under Coach Slobodan Subotic and both Coaches Jade Fattouh and Farran.
Club will be under big pressure since players from both national teams won't be able to join till few days prior to the Asian Clubs Championships which will limit their roster to less than 8 players.
Ismail Ahmad and Loren Woods will rejoin the team this season leading same Lebanese roster in addition to Forward Ahmad Ibrahim and Guards Miguel Martinez and Ralf Akl to defend the Asian title before trying to regain their Lebanese League Championship that they lost due to the withdrew in semi-finals of last year.

Al Riyadi - Sagesse 86-67 Al Riyadi regained the lead in the series versus Sagesse. Al Riyadi made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Al Riyadi especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Byblos are one game away from reaching the Final Four, the 3rd game in the series between Byblos and Tadamon saw the home team controlling the game from the first minutes . Byblos started the game with a very big concentration to seal a win , the first quarter finished on the score of 21-17. Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (Pepsi LBL) inked 32-year old Senegalese forward Mouhammad Faye (208-85, college: SMU). He started the season at Promitheas in Greek A1 league. In 23 games he averaged 11.5ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.1apg this season. The last season Faye played at Openjobmetis VA in Italian Serie A where in 21 games he had 9.3ppg, 7.9rpg and 1.0apg.
