Riyadi end their Skills Development Camp - Jul 19, 2012

Prior to the first phase of the season preparations, AL Riyadi Club ended their Skills Development Camp of young prospects who will have a big impact on the club's future.
Camp was lead by Coach Jade Fattouh and Coach Ahmad Farran and lasted for 5 weeks before ending it in two friendly games during festivals in Shhim and Mazboud.
Training sessions focused on improving individual skills and preparing those talents for the big responsibility they will have soon when representing the first team as well as the youth national teams.
Team stopped training now, players Wael Arakji, Karim Tbaja and Jimy Salem will continue their preparations with the U18 national team while veterans started practicing with the senior national team.
Al Riyadi senior team will start their official season preparations on August 15th with an altitude camp in the Lebanese city "Bologna" under Coach Slobodan Subotic and both Coaches Jade Fattouh and Farran.
Club will be under big pressure since players from both national teams won't be able to join till few days prior to the Asian Clubs Championships which will limit their roster to less than 8 players.
Ismail Ahmad and Loren Woods will rejoin the team this season leading same Lebanese roster in addition to Forward Ahmad Ibrahim and Guards Miguel Martinez and Ralf Akl to defend the Asian title before trying to regain their Lebanese League Championship that they lost due to the withdrew in semi-finals of last year.

Experienced American Sam Young (198-F/G-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for Homenetmen and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 1. The 32-year old swingman had the game-high 23 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Homenetmen in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Hoops (#7, 0-1) with 21-point margin 89-68. The Regular Season in Pepsi LBL just started. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Hoops Club (0-1) in Beirut on Tuesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Homenetmen (1-0) 89-68. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 50-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. In its first game of the season Byblos was a heavy guest in Nouhad Nawfal Stadium against Tadamon. Tadamon managed to secure all conditions to take part of the 2017-2018 Season , on the other side Byblos who played the Henry Chalhoub Tournament is expecting to have a good season .
