CHAOS IN THE WOMENS LEAGUE - Nov 13, 2010

Days, weeks or even months ahead of the womens dateless and undecided season, many question marks stand unanswered. Question marks of who? Why? When? cant find answers.
Whos participating in the coming season? Antranik Beirut, Riyadi Beirut, Homenetmen Antelias, Mouttahed Tripoli and? The 4th of the past few seasons, Bourj Aintoura, havent decided in or out yet, arent planning on paying their players and have given them the right to leave or stay, the club cant care less about participating. Homenetmens Beirut and Bourj Hamoud have retreated already, leaving many talents behind. The champions of division 2, Antranik Sin El Fil, have called quits. The second of division 2, Champville, have plans on being in division 1 instead. Anibal have retreated since last season. Saint George are completely undecided.
Why? Why cant Lebanese basketball have a respected womens league? Is it lack of talent? Is it lack of attention? Maybe, just maybe it is lack of management and lack of will to make a better league for the upcoming talents, starting this very day.
When will the season be starting? Mid-November? Were there, yet teams havent handed in their rosters, dont know their competitors, and have no idea when things will be getting serious.
Whos to blame? An unorganized league with unorganized rules and unorganized clubs. No fundamentals for teams to work upon, no foreigners allowed in teams, no media attention, its simply a total chaos, and no solutions seem to be coming anytime soon.
