Singapore secured the winning start of their 2015 SEABA Championship campaign. The hosts thumped Laos in the opener. Wei Meng Kwek tossed in 18 points to lead the hosts.
Singapore stormed into the game. They reeled off to a 56:6 halftime lead. Singapore kept Laos at bay throughout the second half and marched to the victory. Qing Huang Toh had 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Kelvin Lim chipped in 13 points and collected 12 rebounds in the victory. Lothalath replied with 7 points for Laos. Lattana finished with 4 points in the defeat.

85:53 Malaysia finished second at the 2015 SEABA Championship. They rolled past Laos for the fourth win at the tournament. Malaysia qualified for the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship with the win.
