Lore Rivera (173-F-93) tallied impressive 27 points, 25 rebounds and 10 steals to lead Philippines. Laos ended the tournament winless. Philippines opened the proceedings with a 14:2 run. They enjoyed a 26:7 lead at the first break. Philippines maintained the advantage, moreover they established a 37:13 buffer midway through the second quarter. Scoreboard read 51:20 for the Filipino team at halftime. Laos showed some offensive presence in the third frame but still struggled defensively. Philippines eased to a 74:33 lead into the fourth quarter. They passed 100-mark and coasted to the clinical win at the end. Marie Aseron (170-F-93) and Danica Jose (185-C-94) produced 20 points each for Philippines. Camille Claro netted 15 points in the victory. Sri Lanka posted their initial win at the U18 Asia Championship in Thailand. They bruised Laos to improve at 1-3 record in Level II standings. Laos meanwhile suffered the fourth straight defeat at the tournament.
