Malaysia wrapped up their U16 SEABA Championship campaign with victory. They held off Laos to clinch the second position in the ladder. Jian Chua (183-G-95) stepped up with 22 points to lead the effort. Laos suffered the fourth straight loss at the tournament. The second-place finish means Malaysia will play at U16 Fiba Asia Championship in Vietnam in October.

Malaysia wrapped up their U16 SEABA Championship campaign with victory. They held off Laos to clinch the second position in the ladder. Jian Chua (183-G-95) stepped up with 22 points to lead the effort. Laos suffered the fourth straight loss at the tournament. The second-place finish means Malaysia will play at U16 Fiba Asia Championship in Vietnam in October. Malaysia quickly took off posting a 24:11 lead after ten minutes. The hosts boosted the margin to as many as 23 points at halftime 42:19. Malaysia stayed in control throughout the third term. They registered a 64:42 lead at the final intermission. Malaysia did not loosen the grasp in the fourth frame to race to the victory. Gashvinder Sarjit-Singh (195-C-95) netted 13 points, while Jia Tong (189-F-95) chipped in 9 points for the winners. Khamphay Inthavixay (168-PG-96) and Aphakone Phommasone (175-G-96) responde with 14 points each for Laos.

Arvin Tolentino (191-F-95) accounted for 30 points and 18 rebounds to pace the winners. Philippines started the game aggressively posting a 20:5 lead midway through the first quarter. But Laos capped the period on a 12:4 run to narrow the deficit. But Philippines gradually took off. They established a 48:32 halftime advantage. Philippines posted a 67:46 lead after three quarters of action. They never slowed down and marched to a comprehensive win at the end. Renzar Asilum (173-PG-95) and Daryl Pascual (196-G/F-95) provided 14 points apiece in the victory. Kingphet Sengsouliya (174-G-95) responded with 17 points for Laos.
