Riyadi-Beirut 2007-2008 Cup Champions Once again Riyadi and for the
third consecutive season have retained the Cup Title after beating in the final
Champville on the score of 107-81.
The game had a good start from both teams and it was full of intensity
throughout the first 20 minutes of the game ,
Ahmad Ismail (201-F-76) had a big show and he scored from everywhere and
gave his team the lead from the first minute, on the other side Champville was
answering through
Jonathan Jones (211-C-79), and lot of comebacks were made but sometimes they
were stopped by the quick decisions on the offense which resulted easy fast
break points for Riyadi .The score at the half was 47-36.
In the third quarter the same tempo continued dominance from Riyadi . come backs
from Champville , in the fourth Coach Sarkis rested his second Import and riyadi
never look back since that minute and cruised to an easy win in the end at the
score of 107-81.
On Wednesday the play offs will be starting with two series , Riyadi against
Anibal and Sagesse against Feytroun. Best Performances : Riyadi :

Riyadi WABA Champion Sporting Al
Riyadi Beirut confirmed its supremacy in West Asia after beating
Saba
Battery in the final of the 11th WABA Champions Cup on the score of 83-82
after overtime.
Riyadi didn't participated in the previous 3 seasons in the WABA Champions Cup,
It's the second title this season for Riyadi after wining the strong Dubai
International Tournament .
The first half saw the small dominance from Saba but the lead was exchanged so
many times , Saba led at the half on the score 36-32 through the heroic efforts
of Hamid Islamieh and his 3points shooting.
In the third quarter Riyadi led as much as 10 points but the home team made a
big run and tied the game at the end of the third 57-57 .
In the 4th Riyadi once again led by 10 points but Saba came back and led 77-74
before 34 seconds from the end , a 3 points shot made by
Omar Turk (186-G-81, college:
Dawson
Coll.) tied the game and sent it to a overtime in which Joseph Vogel scored
the wining basket , the game finished on the score of 83-82.
After this big win Riyadi is expected to retain its Arab Title at the end of
April in Jordan and to secure his first Asian Title in Kuwait in May.

Riyadi - Beirut champion of Lebanon for the third consecutive Year Riyadi Beirut managed to win the Lebanese Championship
for the third consecutive year after beating Blue Stars in the Final
series 3-0 .Its Riyadi's fifth title in the past 3 years ( 3
championships , 2 cups).
After two interesting games in which Riyadi managed to snatch the
wins due to its players big experiences, the third game was a great
show especially in the first half when Blue Stars players played for
the first 18 minutes in a great way.
The first quarter started with a big dominance by Blue Stars, the
score was 24-12 sometimes in the first quarter and it finished 24-19
due to the great shooting of Rony Fahed and the inside plays of
Jerald Honeycutt.
In the second quarter Blue Stars tried to continue on the same temp
but the wrong selections on the shot made them loosed the lead in
the last two minutes of the second quarter and to be 13pts down at
the half , the score finished 48-35.
In the second half Riyadi managed to impose its rhythm and make the
difference grow minute after minute and by the fouling out of Bassem
Balaa Blue Stars suffered a big blow , the score at the end of the
3rd was 68-51.
In the 4th the same tempo continued and Riyadi cruised into an easy
victory in the end on the score of 91-67.
Riyadi had five players in double digits Ismail Ahmad ( 20pts) , Ali
Mahmoud (16pts) , Adrian Custis(15pts) , Joseph Vogel ( 15pts) ,
Omar Turk(14pts), on blue Stars side Ronald Hale had 23pts .Riyadi
Welcomed back Ali Mahmouf in this game who had a small injury and
did not participate in the two previous games , as for Fady Khatib
he didn't participate in any game in the Final.

Riyadi have successfully defended their Lebanon Cup title following a hard-earned 95-92 win against Blue Stars in a tight final.
The triumph sealed Riyadi's 22nd consecutive win, continuing a record that has kept the champions unbeaten since May 2006, when they lost to Champville in the semi-finals of Lebanon league championship.
They had to work hard in Beirut against a determined Blue Stars side and went in tied 82-82 at the end of regular time, before eventually clinching the three-point win in overtime.
Riyadi's Joe Vogel top scored with 25 points, including five
three-pointers, while Blue Stars' Lebanon international forward Fadi
Al Khatib hit 20.
