D1 Round 13: Al Nasar defeat Al Sahel in the closest game of the week - Feb 7, 2017

Eighth-ranked Al Sahel (2-8) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Al Nasar (6-4) in An Nasr on Monday. Al Nasar managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected easier game. Al Nasar have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Al Qadsia. Al Sahel at the other side keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Al Tadhamon.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Kuwait City: Al Kuwait (#2) and Al Qadsia (#5). Al Qadsia was crushed at home by 19 points 68-87 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Al Kuwait. They maintain second place with 8-1 record behind leader Kazma. Al Qadsia lost their third game in a row. Defending champion keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Al Nasar. Al Kuwait will play against Al Sulaibikhat (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Qadsia will have a break next round.

D1 top team - Kazma (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al Tadhamon (2-8) in Kuwait City 80-40. Kazma have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Al Tadhamon lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with eight games lost. The game in Abu Halifa was also worth to mention about. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kazma as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kazma smashed 4th placed Al Qadsia in Kuwait City 94-62. Kazma have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position.
