D1 Round 10: Al Jahraa beat Al Qadsia by two after a very close game - Jan 28, 2017

The most exciting game of round 10 in the D1 took place in Kuwait City. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Al Qadsia (6-2) to fourth ranked Al Jahraa (6-2) 82-80 in the game for the third place. Al Jahraa moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Al Qadsia. Al Jahraa is looking forward to face Al Tadhamon (#9) in Al Farwaniya in the next round where they are favorite. Al Qadsia's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kuwait City to the arena Kazma.
Important game to mention about took place in Yarmouk. Seventh ranked Al Yarmook (3-5) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 10th ranked Al Shabab (1-7) 74-73 on Wednesday evening. Al Yarmook maintains seventh position with 3-5 record. Al Shabab lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Al Sulaibikhat. Al Yarmook will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Shabab will play on the road against Al Nasar (#6) in An Nasr to get more than just one victory in their record.
A very close game took place in Al Farwaniya between Al Sahel and Al Tadhamon. Ninth ranked Al Sahel (2-6) got a very close victory on the road over 8th ranked Al Tadhamon (2-6). Al Sahel managed to escape with a 1-point win 65-64 in the fight for the eighth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Tadhamon. Al Sahel moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Al Tadhamon. Al Sahel will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Tadhamon will play against Al Jahraa (#3) and hope to secure a win.
The game between 11th ranked Al Sulaibikhat (1-7) and sixth ranked Al Nasar (4-4) in Sulaibikhat ended with biggest points difference. Guests from An Nasr beat Al Sulaibikhat 83-65. Al Nasar have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 4-4 record. Al Sulaibikhat lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Al Nasar's next round opponent will be Al Shabab (#10) in Al Ahmadi. Al Sulaibikhat will play on the road against Al Arabi in Kuwait City and hope to win that game.

Kuwait SC win 2016-2017 League title - 6 months ago
The Kuwait SC on Wednesday won its 9th title of the Kuwaiti Basketball League, 2016-2017, beating Kazma SC 81-61. The Kuwait players offered strong performance and realized a well-deserved win, raising the team's points to 19, and seized awarded the title of the 54th edition of the league.
