D1 Round 7: Al Arabi beats Al Yarmook by two after a very close game - Jan 13, 2017

The most exciting game of round 7 in the D1 took place in Yarmouk. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Al Yarmook (1-4) to fifth ranked Al Arabi (4-2) 72-70 on Thursday evening. Al Arabi have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Al Yarmook at the other side keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Al Sahel and Al Shabab.
D1 top team - Al Kuwait (5-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Al Tadhamon (0-5) in Al Farwaniya 61-39. Undefeated Al Kuwait have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. Al Tadhamon at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost.
The game between 10th ranked Al Shabab (1-4) and third ranked Kazma (5-1) in Al Ahmadi on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Kuwait City outscored Al Shabab 85-62. Kazma moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Jahraa. Al Shabab lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Al Yarmook and Al Sahel.

In the last game of round 7 Al Jahraa beat Al Sahel on the road 65-56.

Al Yarmook - Al Arabi 70-72

D1 top team - Al Kuwait (5-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Al Tadhamon (0-5) in Al Farwaniya 61-39. D1 top team - Kazma (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al Tadhamon (2-8) in Kuwait City 80-40. Kazma have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Al Tadhamon lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with eight games lost. The game in Abu Halifa was also worth to mention about. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kazma as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kazma smashed 4th placed Al Qadsia in Kuwait City 94-62. Kazma have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position.
