D1 Round 6: Winless Al Tadhamon lose another game - Jan 9, 2017

What a coincidence that all visitors won their games.

Bottom-ranked Al Tadhamon (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked Al Arabi (3-2) 64-55 on Sunday evening. Al Arabi maintains fifth position with 3-2 record. Al Tadhamon at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Al Arabi are looking forward to face Al Yarmook (#9) in Yarmouk in the next round. Al Tadhamon will play at home against the league's leader Al Kuwait and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Al Ahmadi was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Al Jahraa (4-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Al Shabab (1-3). Al Jahraa defeated Al Shabab 79-64. Al Jahraa maintains second position with 4-1 record having just one point less than leader Al Kuwait, which they share with Kazma. Al Shabab at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Al Jahraa will play against Al Sahel (#7) in Abu Halifa in the next round where they are favorite. Al Shabab will play at home against Kazma to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Sulaibikhat supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Kazma (4-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Al Sulaibikhat (1-3). Kazma smashed Al Sulaibikhat 87-53 on Sunday. Kazma moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Jahraa. Loser Al Sulaibikhat dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Kazma will meet Al Shabab (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Sulaibikhat will have a break next round.

In the last game of round 6 Al Nasar destroyed Al Yarmook on the opponent's court 76-57.

Al Shabab - Al Jahraa 64-79

There was a minor upset in Yarmouk where 7th ranked Al Yarmook (1-3) was crushed by ninth ranked Al Nasar (2-3) 76-57 on Sunday. Al Nasar moved-up to sixth place. Loser Al Yarmook keeps the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Al Nasar will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Yarmook will play against Al Arabi (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Kuwait SC win 2016-2017 League title - 4 months ago
The Kuwait SC on Wednesday won its 9th title of the Kuwaiti Basketball League, 2016-2017, beating Kazma SC 81-61. The Kuwait players offered strong performance and realized a well-deserved win, raising the team's points to 19, and seized awarded the title of the 54th edition of the league. Eighth-ranked Al Sahel (2-8) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Al Nasar (6-4) in An Nasr on Monday. Al Nasar managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected easier game.
