Kuwaiti Cup champions Kazma have announced 56 years old Serbian/Dutch coach Toni Vujanic as their new coach for the upcoming season. Vujanic will be replacing American coach Douglas Marty who led the team to won the cup title last season and got 3rd position in the league.
The Serbian coach coached in Morocco last 2 seasons he was head coach of Morocco NT beside his position as head coach of MCO Mouloudia Oujda, he helped the team to got 3rd position in the league last season. he has long experience in Middle east area he coached in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Bahrain and Iraq before and this is his first experience in Kuwait.

Eighth-ranked Al Sahel (2-8) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Al Nasar (6-4) in An Nasr on Monday. Al Nasar managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected easier game. D1 top team - Kazma (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al Tadhamon (2-8) in Kuwait City 80-40. Kazma have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Al Tadhamon lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with eight games lost. The game in Abu Halifa was also worth to mention about. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kazma as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kazma smashed 4th placed Al Qadsia in Kuwait City 94-62. Kazma have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position.
