D1 Round 25: Kazma is defeated by Al Qadsia in a derby game - Mar 5, 2016

Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kuwait City: Al Qadsia (#1) and Kazma (#3). Al Qadsia (17-0) crushed visiting Kazma (15-4) by 30 points 81-51. Undefeated Al Qadsia have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-0 record. Kazma at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost.
Bottom-ranked Al Sulaibikhat (0-18) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 18th consecutive match to ninth ranked Al Yarmook (5-14) 92-33. Al Yarmook moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Al Shabab. Al Sulaibikhat lost their seventeenth game in a row. They still close the standings. Al Yarmook will play against higher ranked Al Jahraa (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Al Sulaibikhat will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 25 Al Sahel lost to Al Arabi on the opponent's court 64-76. Al Kuwait outscored Al Jahraa in a home game 79-50.

Al Qadsia - Kazma 81-51

Rather expected game in Kuwait City where 7th ranked Al Sahel (9-11) was defeated by fourth ranked Al Arabi (13-7) 76-64. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Al Arabi. They maintain fourth place with 13-7 record. Al Sahel at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost.

Al Yarmook - Al Sulaibikhat 92-33

Rather predictable result in Kuwait City where second ranked Al Kuwait (17-1) smashed 5th ranked Al Jahraa (11-8) 79-50. Defending champion maintains second place with 17-1 record having just one point less than leader Al Qadsia. Al Jahraa at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Al Kuwait will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Jahraa will play on the road against Al Yarmook (#9) in Yarmouk and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Eighth-ranked Al Sahel (2-8) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Al Nasar (6-4) in An Nasr on Monday. Al Nasar managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected easier game. D1 top team - Kazma (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al Tadhamon (2-8) in Kuwait City 80-40. Kazma have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Al Tadhamon lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with eight games lost. The game in Abu Halifa was also worth to mention about. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kazma as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kazma smashed 4th placed Al Qadsia in Kuwait City 94-62. Kazma have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position.
