D1 Round 18: Al Arabi is defeated by Al Qadsia in a derby game - Feb 3, 2016

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kuwait City: Al Qadsia (#5) and Al Arabi (#4). Al Qadsia (9-0) won against visiting Al Arabi (9-6) 64-49. Undefeated Al Qadsia have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Al Arabi lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Al Qadsia are looking forward to face Al Tadhamon (#10) in Al Farwaniya in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Arabi's supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kuwait City to the arena Al Kuwait.
Bottom-ranked Al Sulaibikhat (0-12) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 12th consecutive match to eighth ranked Al Shabab (5-10) 66-61. Al Shabab maintains eighth position with 5-10 record. Al Sulaibikhat at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost.
Sixth ranked Al Nasar (7-7) crushed at home 7th ranked Al Sahel (6-10) by 17 points 66-49, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. Al Nasar maintains sixth position with 7-7 record. Loser Al Sahel keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Al Nasar will meet at home higher ranked Al Jahraa (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Al Sahel will have a break next round.

In the last game of round 18 Al Yarmook won against Al Tadhamon on the opponent's court 80-65.

Al Shabab - Al Sulaibikhat 66-61

Al Tadhamon lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 13 games lost. Al Yarmook will meet league's second-placed Kazma in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Al Tadhamon will play against Al Qadsia (#3) in Kuwait City and hope to win that game.
