D1 Round 16: Derby game ends with Kazma's defeat of Al Arabi - Jan 27, 2016

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Kuwait City: Kazma (#2) and Al Arabi (#3). Al Arabi was defeated at home 87-95 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Al Arabi. Kazma have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-2 record behind leader Al Kuwait. Al Arabi at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost.
D1 top team - Al Kuwait (11-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Al Sahel (5-9) in Kuwait City 75-48. Undefeated Al Kuwait have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-0 record. Al Sahel lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with nine games lost.
Bottom-ranked Al Sulaibikhat is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to sixth ranked Al Nasar (6-6) 79-30 on Sunday evening. Al Nasar maintains sixth position with 6-6 record. Loser Al Sulaibikhat still closes the standings with 11 games lost.

In the last game of round 16 Al Shabab was beaten by Al Jahraa on the road 79-70.

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Al Jahraa (8-4) beat at home 8th ranked Al Shabab (4-9) 79-70 on Sunday. Al Jahraa have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 8-4 record. Loser Al Shabab keeps the eighth place with nine games lost.

D1 top team - Kazma (9-1) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al Tadhamon (2-8) in Kuwait City 80-40. Kazma have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Al Tadhamon lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with eight games lost. The game in Abu Halifa was also worth to mention about. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Kazma as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kazma smashed 4th placed Al Qadsia in Kuwait City 94-62. Kazma have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position.
